Aluminium 1100 hex bars are composed primarily of 99.0% aluminium, with small additions of iron (0.95%), silicon (0.60%), copper (0.05%), and other trace elements. This high-purity aluminium provides excellent corrosion resistance, good thermal conductivity, and high ductility, making it ideal for applications requiring moderate strength and good machinability. The mechanical properties of Aluminium 1100 hex bars include a tensile strength of around 85 MPa, a yield strength of about 45 MPa, and an elongation of approximately 25%.
